My Farewell
My lovely friends hosted a farewell party for me in Gurgaon, a three-day marathon party. I never thought the group would go this grand for me, I love y’all.
The place was big, and I got the last room. It was so big that I got tired walking to-and-fro from my room. The hall had a TV, and the villa had really nice small hangout spots which some of us always kept occupied.
It also had a sweet playroom with a Pool and Table Tennis. Centralized AC kept the villa cool because otherwise, it couldn’t handle my group’s hotness.
BBQ Dinner
The chicken got overcooked, but still, it was edible. Any fuckups were acceptable tonight, because being with each other, we didn’t even care.
But we did face a problem when some other Swiggy valet took our order instead of the assigned one. It took about 2 hours to get one order delivered.
Big at Hearts
My group is big, so I went to each and everyone and asked what they are up to, just thinking these might be the last moments we’ll be enjoying before I leave. I don’t think they noticed, but I absolutely enjoyed just listening to everyone’s non-sense and half-sense conversations, that’s where all the bonding holds. It is going to be really hard to find new friends in a new country, and I don’t think I am ready for it.
“Will You Miss Us?”
Yes of course. It’ll be nearly impossible to manage without Aayush’s love, Anamika’s hard-hitting insults with a straight face outta nowhere, Ananya brain feeding me with new facts about motherland India, Anukriti’s super support and extreme rebellion to the ones who betray me (also includes me), Arihant taking my jabs all the time like the brother he is to me, Arsh being Arsh but dropping his character in front of me, Debjeet getting me out of the messes I put myself into, Khushi’s agreement on relatability with the stupidest of things, Sameer getting into his zone to explain hard concepts to me in the simplest way possible and Yash’s unbreakable happy vibe while he’s also trying to steal my girl at the same time without even talking to them once.
You guys are too good. I can never repay each one of you back with the love y’all gave me over the years.
From friends to family, we all came a long way. Members of a family only move to different places, but their hearts remain at the same place, connected to each other.
Everyone will be missed.
School Folks
I didn’t really have high hopes that we all could meet under a day’s notice, but luckily everyone was free.
We regrouped at a cafe in Green Park and chatted for hours over our school memories. We go over and over the same stupid stuff we all did over the years, and it’s so much fun. We all were in the same class since Class 1-12th (except one because they took Humanities).
I tell my school stories to my college friends and they find them hilarious. The school friends are the ones who have lived these stories with me, and the memories will stay forever. I’ll be an idiot to these people, and they’ll be idiots to me for however long I live. But I love these idiots even though we barely talk, so I am glad I met them before I leave. We grew up together, and I am happy the rest three are doing well in their lives.
Should I Meet 🤫?
I asked this question to my college group and my school group. The former clearly says no, while the latter had a dicey yes.
I think I’ll meet them.
How do y’all think I get content for my newsletter?
With love,
The Paji
